  • Warning: Spoilers
This is a 90 minute television movie from almost ten years ago. If you know Ann-Kathrin Kramer, you probably know the quality of this film. Non-existent. She is known for starring in many films that have really just no artistic level at all. This film is also her only writing credit and it's certainly no surprise that she has never penned s script again after 2006 and same goes for her co-writer here. The only positive thing I can say about Kramer here is that she is by far not as bad as the actress who played her daughter (Elea Geissler). Man, that was the most horrible performance I have seen in a long time. Line delivery non-existent, so annoying and consistently off the mark. No surprise again she has not acted since 2009.

The topic of money struggles etc. would actually have deserved a much better film. It's a serious issue. Instead they came up with something where mother and daughter argue and at the very same time, a thunderstorm starts outside. And of course the daughter is willing to work as a prostitute to get money for a class trip. Good lord what a mess and films with scripts like these should really never be made. Another example on the cringeworthy love interest front: "I haven't with a man for a long time... shared a beautiful moment. Sex bait alert. A great watch for people who don't need quality in their films and watch completely unrealistic rubbish. Of course, the entire love story line is terrible and predictable as well. What wasn't predictable was the pregnancy part at the end. Geissler and Kramer really fought a hard battle there who has less talent. I think I will give the edge to Kramer as she also worked on the disastrous script. And what is with the film's title. Not only is it downright embarrassing, it's also not true at all. There is no marriage swindling in this film. Also the protagonist has no problems with love really, but the entire film is much more about her money struggles. Really the end is only about love struggles. Oh another cringeworthy part from the script: When she is about to confess that she is the fraudster, she gets stung by a wasp the very moment she says it. And what's with the other men she tricked into giving her money. No mention of these ever again. And then there is the bridge suicide scene (of course we know all the way he is not gonna jump) or the ending where everything turns out well again in the most unrealistic manner with that pathetic scene with the camera team. This is easily one of the weakest 2006 movies and probably the biggest fail in Volker Michalowski's career. He's actually a good actor and pretty known outside of Germany too, but not even he can save this giant piece of *censored* Do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this movie. Glad to see the key players responsible here are not that prolific anymore today.
