We have to give it to Satyan Anthikad, the common man's director, for making another film that has commoners as its people. When they got together after a gap of 12 years in Rasathantram, we had doubts if the old magic would resurface. Our doubts evaporated as we sit through first few minutes of the film. Mohanlal and Meera Jasmine are paired together for the first time. It will be worthwhile watching them together. They ably spin magic on screen. Mohanlal, though repeating himself for the umpteenth time, pleases Satyan Anthikad uses different elements that are tried and tested over the ages to give us a solution that is in a fine state of equilibrium.
  • Watching this title, 2 hours and 45 minutes, and not even a second I felt boredom. This is truly amazing, the title is a true gem of Indian cinema. The movie depicts the many aspects - relationship between a father and son, great spiritual anecdotes based on real life incidents, conflicts of interests in human society.. a complete mixture of all human emotions.. It has love, expectations, tension, failure, life long agony.

Now the music department, 'Isaignani' Ilayaraaja Sir (Hey Ram (2000), http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilaiyaraaja) don't need any praise for his works, because what he creates would be magic (as always) and nothing less !! Right from the beginning, the title score begins with a peppy tone and end with a melodious tone depicting void desires and unspoken minds. Truly amazing.. The listener can suddenly identify the change in mood. This movie has more than 6 songs, (each 5+ minutes duration).. and all are indeed great in quality and content. A real family entertainer with human values.
  • The story of the movie is very good, the interesting fact is the screenplay is written by sathyan sir itself,it was massive. It shows the relationship between a father and son and their lives in the society. It shows the meaning of life. Sathyan sir selected the right cast. Mohanlal,Gopi cheyyan,Meera Jasmine was good. The music composed by ilayaraja was impressive with the voice of great singers. Overall my rating is 8.7/10.
