Integral and perfect (but not really integral)

So, The West Wing is, to my mind at least, the most important and complete television show ever made.

I am both very certain and open about this, it's that damn good.

I rated this episode as a 9/10 because there are way better and more entertaining episodes available to you (and thankfully to me) should you desire.

This is the penultimate episode. They're tying up loose ends. The drama, y'all, well... it's bloody happened. Do not start here. It no longer matters.

    But.

    But.

    But.

This tied up the CJ loose ends. Anyone who likes, loves or has ever seen the West Wing knows CJ is basically what it's about and she's amazing and blah blah blah.

The scene when CJ visits Toby (don't get me started on Toby) is my all time favourite scene of television.

So yeah. There's more comedy, drama, romance, banter, craic, substance etc etc in a lot of other episodes but this one just hits different.

    • Trivia
Toby tells C.J. that he thinks that he has found a typo in the Constitution, specifically in the Takings Clause. The passage he was referring to is as follows and the comma in question is bracketed:

"No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use[,] without just compensation."

He states that he is going to talk to Tom Merrill about it. Tom Merrill is a real person, who is a Professor at Columbia Law School and is a co-author of the book Property: Takings.
    • Goofs
Will refers to the Department of Education as the DOE. DOE actually refers to the Department of Energy. The Department of Education is the ED.
    • Quotes

Danny Concannon: [to C.J] I want you to do what you want to do - take the job at the White House. I just want you to talk to me about it. I want us to talk about what it will mean and we'll make it work. I want us to talk like we're gonna figure it out together. I want us to talk... because I like the sound of your voice. I just want to talk.
