"Ideal" was a play written by Ayn Rand ("The Fountainhead") in 1934 and never produced in her lifetime. It had its world premier in Hollywood in 1989 at the Melrose Theater and was directed by Michael Paxton, who eventually made the feature documentary about the author ("Ayn Rand: A Sense of Life") in 1997.
