Excellent! We Need More Movies Like This!
Stomp the Yard ..was truly an excellent movie to me! Very entertaining, and the dancing was awesome, but it had a deep inner message to go with it... for young and old alike! There is so much talent in our young African Americans..but sometimes directed in the wrong direction that leads to gangs and crime. I just moved to Los Angeles and I don't see hardly any African American youth/teenagers working jobs here! I'm not sure where they'r at or what they are doing! The message I received is that you can have talent, but having an education is key to your survival! Also, knowing where you came from (Black History)and who paved the way for you is critical to the existence of black America! Take your talent to the world, but take along with it book knowledge...to understand business and to be entrepreneurs! This movie focused on black American men...who are in danger in our society right now, but we are strong and survivors...and we have the power to change our direction! Stomp the Yard was Creatively done to entertain, but to send a very important message that the education is key!
