    Refreshing bit of candour

    Three more comedy/horror/sci-fi stories.

This is a consistently good Halloween special with no particularly weak entries.

It's starts very strongly with a great spin on the evil twin concept. There are several humorously creepy moments and it has a hilarious twist regarding Bart.

The Twilight Zone tribute middle section is another decent concept that works well with the premise of Lisa's tooth, although the story ends rather abruptly.

Finally, the Dole/Clinton section is a hilariously, silly political comedy with some unsubtle, but enjoyable shenanigans involving Homer and the guest characters.

Not the Best/But Still Pretty Good

The first one this time is the creature in the attic tale. Bart has a Siamese twin brother who is evil. Marge and Homer feed him fish heads. The second is sort of a Mysterious Stranger thing where Lisa creates a miniature society that evolves rapidly. Finally, we have some great political commentary based on an alien invasion of the Clinton-Dole election. Just a little short on execution but it works well in many places.

    • Trivia
The sequence where tiny spaceships attack Bart in "The Genesis Tub" marks one of the first uses of computers in the show's animation. The computer was used to build models for reference and the animators later retraced it.
    • Goofs
In "The Thing & I", when Bart pulls up his shirt and discovers his scar on his right side, the next shot from behind shows him looking at his left side.

      Kang: Abortions for all.

      [crowd boos]

Kang: Very well, no abortions for anyone.

      [crowd boos]

Kang: Hmm... Abortions for some, miniature American flags for others.

[crowd cheers and waves miniature flags]
