Dot and a stuffy P.C. committee binome prepare a surprise talent show for Enzo's birthday, while Bob tries to keep him distracted with endless games, including a really cool one seen in the opening scenes that's strikingly similar to the movie Tron! And Megabyte, angry at not being included, plots his own act... I love this excellent episode, it's actually very dear to me. One of the reasons that I love it is because it's possibly the most lighthearted episode of the whole series, as there's no peril in it at all, although thanks to Megabyte's theatrics it doesn't entirely seem that way! It's so much fun this one, it's packed with clever jokes and references and hilarious digs at the ridiculous censoring of the BSNP! Kathleen Barr's singing voice was so lovely as her character serenades her little brother in a classy and rather sultry way! I really can't decide which I like better, her song or Megabyte's epic gatecrashing appearance on the stage that sees him in a rock-off duel of electric guitars with Bob!!! It's one of the show's most cool and memorable moments and I have a special memory of watching that scene with my older brother when I was a kid. It's so cute, Megabyte just wanted his moment in the spotlight and to fulfil a modest dream that didn't involve fiendish viral domination for a change! If you'll notice, it's the one and only real time that Megabyte does something genuinely nice! It just doesn't seem like that when you see him scheming because he just has to say everything in the most awesomely menacing tone possible! Absolute Reboot gold, this is definitely my favourite of the first season, it so perfectly comes together. A magical episode.
