Today’s film is the 2006 short The King of Central Park. The film is co-written and co-directed by David Gelb and Max Winkler, and stars Armen Weitzman, Courtney Applebaum, Jeffrey Tambor, and Henry Winkler. Winkler burst onto the public consciousness in his role as Arthur Fonzarelli, better known as Fonzie, on the classic sitcom Happy Days before successfully shedding the image in movies such as The Waterboy and tv series such as Childrens’ Hospital. Both he and Tambor can be seen on the fourth season of the recently revived comedy Arrested Development, which is available in its entirety on Netflix.

It's immediately obvious that Winkler comes from the school of the hipster-cinema; though he absconds from the typical negative associations related to it, leaving behind only the rich colors and dialogue to operate with.
