Shakira has always been a pop chameleon who can jump into nearly any musical genre, and on her new song, “Te Felicito,” she’s teamed up with Latin music’s reigning showman Rauw Alejandro for a collaboration that blends electro-pop, funk guitars, and a thumping reggaeton beat.
The song is a winking kiss-off to a lying ex — the title “Te Felicito,” or “I congratulate you,” is meant as a sarcastic goodbye to a person who won’t change. Shakira sings about finally seeing someone for who they truly are before...

Shakira has dropped the video for the new song “Don’t Wait Up.” It’s the Colombian star’s first new solo song since 2017’s El Dorado and her first English-language single since 2016’s “Try Everything.”
The track boasts a heavy drum groove and a spare but punchy assortment of synths. The video for the song, which was filmed in Tenerife in Spain’s Canary Islands, boasts plenty of dance floor footage and slick choreography, although the best sequences are when Shakira’s catching some waves on a neon-lit surfboard.

Toward the end of 2019, Jazmine Sullivan got some heartbreaking news: Her mother, Pam, a former background singer who once co-managed Jazmine’s music career, had been diagnosed with breast cancer. A few months after that shock, the pandemic shut down live music entirely. It was a lot to handle — especially coming on top of the years of trauma that Sullivan had endured from an abusive relationship that ended not long before.

Jazmine Sullivan delivered a mesmerizing rendition of her single, “Girl Like Me,” on The Tonight Show Tuesday, January 12th.

In the early 2000s, religious music experienced a moment of mainstream success. Mary Mary’s debut album Thankful went platinum, and for a time, contemporary gospel was a pop culture touchpoint. The crossover appeal was obvious. R&b’s ebullient production grafted seamlessly onto gospel’s enduring commitment to raw talent. Its vocal tropes remain a tool of modern popular music, a means of transposing the divine onto worldly concerns. R&b singer Jazmine Sullivan, who came up singing in Philadelphia choirs, handles the desires of the flesh with godly reverence.

The Sons of Anarchy spinoff, Mayans Mc, is getting plenty of buzz, and you might be wondering why Jd Pardo, who plays Ezekiel "Ez" Reyes, looks a bit familiar. He's not a household name quite yet, but if you're a fan of a few not-so-popular fantasy or sci-fi titles or of a very popular Hulu teen show, that might be why he has a face you recognize.
If you grew up slightly obsessed with A Cinderella Story - and, be honest, who didn't? - you most definitely came across Pardo in one of his earliest roles. He played Ryan, one of Austin's (Chad Michael Murray) jock friends. After that, Pardo popped up in a slew of other teen-oriented projects during the mid 2000s. He had guest spots on Veronica Mars and The Oc and a two-episode arc on the revived 90210 in 2010.
