A U.S. Marshall becomes the sheriff of a remote cozy little Northwestern town of Eureka where the best minds in the US have secretly been tucked away to build futuristic inventions for the government which often go disastrously wrong.
Many of the small futuristic cars, such as the one loaned by Beverly Barlowe to Jack Carter in the pilot episode, were electric vehicles produced by a Canadian company called Dynasty IT. The cars came in several different versions, including sedan, coupe, pickup, and open-topped versions. Other futuristic-looking cars used in the show included the Smart Fortwo and AEV Kurrent, another electric microcar that used to be produced in Michigan. The Dynasty line has since been sold to a company in Pakistan.
Marshall Jack Carter:
There is no time, no WAY that we don't end up together. You just gotta have a little faith.
The character Jack Carter is the Town Sheriff of Eureka. However, a Sheriff is the law enforcement official of a County; never of a town. Towns and cities have a police chief or marshal.
