  • I saw this film at the Tribeca Film Festival a while back and was absolutely floored by it. The energy and visceral quality the filmmaker brought to screen was breathtaking. The director took a risk making the choice to shoot 2.35 hand-held, and it absolutely pays off.

The film is based on a short story by T.C. Boyle. It juxtaposes a meteor event that happened 65 million years ago to a father and mother getting a call that their daughter has been in a car accident.

After seeing the film I looked it up and read it. I have to say this is one of the best adaptations I have ever seen of a short story into a short film. A lot of the devastating brush strokes T.C. Boyle is so deft at creating are brought out beautifully in this film.

I wish it was online somewhere, I'd love to see it again.

    The performances are incredible too.
