This is Hans Zimmer's second score in a Christopher Nolan film to be nominated for a Golden Globe against Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' score for a David Fincher film, Gone Girl (2014). The first Zimmer score was Inception (2010) against The Social Network (2010).

When Cooper sees the second wave approaching and orders the others back to the spacecraft, he says "we're in the middle of a swell".. Actually the region between two wave crests is a "trough", not a "swell".. (Although the extreme urgency of the situation could have understandably contributed to his error.)
The Warner Bros, Paramount, Syncopy and Legendary Pictures logos are brown and dusty, representing Earth's arid dry state in the film.
