Several years after the events from the first movie, an evil mercenary group and a team of researchers they've taken hostage return to the haunted asylum in search of a precious statue, a satanic idol believed to possess demonic powers.
The mercenary character of Harue (Calita Rainford) is revealed, only in the special features of the blu-ray, to be a lesbian member of a cult that worships Baphomet and is in search of the idol for her own means. If the viewer chooses for her not to resist the lesbian ghosts early in the film, she will survive the events of the film and retrieve the idol on the beach at the end of the film.
So, what's a girl gotta do to get your autograph?
(at around 41 mins) Ariel refers to the 5 employees who survived the fire that occurred in the asylum in 1931 as orderlies, which they weren't. They were: Ruth Anne Stockard (head nurse), Thomas Steven Price and Adolphus Jenzen (electroshock), Jasper Marr (hydrotherapy) and Franklin Baker (pathologist).
There's an extra scene on a beach after the end credits finish. It shows a couple frolicking on the beach and, predictably, finding the Baphomet statue buried in the sand.
