Everything in it is near the height of the ridiculous

A farce depending on the preposterousness of the things it shows, beginning with a serenade on a drum. This is a well-made, light offering and is really amusing, since everything in it is near the height of the ridiculous. There are some people who see nothing in this sort of stuff at all, and some in the audience didn't. - The Moving Picture World, June 14, 1913
