I was really thinking if the late director Lino Brocka ever left any legacy behind. Aside from being a great activist, director, teacher and belonging to the third gendered group. How is it possible that he had an offspring. I popped the VCD in the player then 15 mins from the movie I saw actors acting out in a documentary style ala Bikini Open filming. Then it struck me, this movie is a mockumentary. It could have gotten a 10 if it was real. The message that it shows is very impressive and there is always a lesson to be learned from the greats, but to me they should have changed the title into a semi-autobiography rather than a controversy. It fooled me into thinking that its a documentary about Brocka's lost and now proved fictitious son. I know the people that made this film is doing a great job on keeping the independent scene in the philippines alive and supporting all indie directors but, to me the title Ang "Anak ni Brocka" is kinda like a marketing strategy to get peoples attention.
