. . . Eon Production Company honcho Michael G. Wilson's narration of this 13-minute compilation of stills and film snippets showing his step-dad Albert R. Broccoli and himself rubbing shoulders with Queen Elizabeth (the second one), the late Princess Diana, as well as Princes Phil and Charlie, among other Royals. (If any pictures were painted of QEI attending Bond premiers, they've since been lost.) It's interesting to see that Bond's creator, novelist Ian Fleming, lived long enough to attend two Bond premiers, but we're not given enough context to know whether the "Duchess of Kent" shown here is the same old lady Madonna portrayed in W\E. It makes sense that Sally Ann Howes and Dick Van Dyk attended a Bond debut around the time that their CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG film came out, as Mr. Fleming wrote that kid's story as well as the Bond fairy tales, and Willie Wonka children's book author Roald Dahl penned the CCBB screenplay, as well as a film script for a Bond movie. On the other hand, does anyone alive today care that years ago Jerry Lewis, Phil Silvers, Tony Bennett, Gary Sinise, and Lauren Bacall attended at least one of these charity galas?
