After a tossed cigarette ignites a fire in a multi-story hospital at night, an orderly and a nurse struggle to evacuate the patients due to the staff's lack of discipline and knowledge of correct safety protocols.
This short film won the best cinematography "Millie" award in Australia in 1979. It also won best short film at the Cork Film Festival and several awards from industrial film festivals and medical film festivals.
The fire is now thirty-one minutes old. A hundred firemen from twelve stations will fight it. It will burn for six hours. Nine people will die.
