When a border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers are tasked with establishing a Highway Patrol station in the disputed area.
When Mac and Foster are riding around with the Canadian Mounties, they are in car 91. A reference to the, "Don't call me radio, Unit 91" joke from the first movie.

During the opening chase scene/dream sequence, the light bar on the VSP vehicle is being reflected off of equipment on the tow dolly and thus can be seen as a reflection on the outside of the car's windshield.
