When the troopers are testing the "AK-48" rifles by the lake, they come to the conclusion that all of the items are legal in Canada but not in the USA. The various drugs aside, AK pattern rifles are prohibited by name in Canada and their magazines, while legal to purchase, would have to be limited to five rounds per Canadian law. On the other hand, Americans may purchase AK pattern rifles provided they are either totally American made or are at least 922r compliant. Many states still allow the purchase and ownership of full 30 round capacity magazines as well. If you pause when they show the closeup of the sticker, the receiver is clearly marked "CAI, Georgia" for Century Arms International.
