  • Fetishist expert Nick Orleans tries his hand at sci-fi with middling success in "Blue Light". Packing a lengthy roster of lovelies into the package helps, led off by terrific XXX performances by Kelly Wells and the late Haley Paige.

Nick several years earlier had poked his nose int sci-fi material with "Blue Matrix" but that too fell short in the story department. This time around, the SF genre content is embellished, almost as an after-thought by tons of hard-boiled, tough-guy narration voiced over by male lead Tony Tedeschi. He's cast as a mind-detective, described in mumbo jumbo fashion as sort of a Sherlock Holmesian ESP. The voice-over is tolerable only because it's loaded with silly, dirty puns and turns of phrase - almost quaint in their obscurity.

Main action concerns this porn gumshoe's client Haley Paige, passed off as a successful erotic novelist. She's been victimized by evil scientists who utilize a dumb-looking dildo & control unit contraption that works in conjunction with a tiny light-pen that emits a blue light, aimed at Haley's or other subjects' foreheads.

Goal is to steal a person's memories, which would be an interesting premise for a sci-fi show, even a Mainstream one, but is just a gimmick as Nick moves on to sex, sex, and more sex, peppered with his fondness for fetish clothing like pantyhose and body stockings.

I was sucked into the show because of the casting of an amazing complement of eleven, count 'em, 11 actresses -usually a porn project will tap Chatsworth Central Casting for just four or five. And it's an embarrassment of riches since Haley and Kelly have multiple sex scenes and could well have made up the entire femme cast without any viewer complaining.

Of the extra added flesh, I was most impressed by Lexi Lamour, an actress who I like anyway and who excels in both lesbian and boy/girl action here, especially a threesome supporting Wells. It was also fun to see the inimitable Havana Ginger appear during an orgy sequence, early in her career when she was known as Mika Brown and hadn't yet expanded her breasts to their iconic peak volume.
