Pornocopia

From an anonymous filmmaker IMDb identifies as "Ron Royster", "Pornocopia" proved to be a great find buried in the Adam & Eve catalogue, a dreamy, highly erotic miniature that dovetails well with A & E's earlier fantasy/New Age form of Adult Cinema. I'll be sampling the director's only other feature to see what I've been missing from this unlikely source.

The five vignettes, plus a bonus femme solo masturbation scene, have individual titles and are all interesting and creative. Cast of mainly unknown players is refreshing in itself, as they prove to be talented. It's perfect for couples, hence the distribution by A & E, whose only link to the actual production seems to be supplying the sex toys (cheap plug).

Weirdest content here is provided by the participation of Little Diva, for which IMDb lists this as her only credit (later anthologized by A & E). She's an extremely buxom Black midget who appears in three of the segments and adds immeasurably to their appeal -masturbating rather than interacting physically with the other cast members. Lest one think this is a case of "dwarfsploitation", the handy BTS short subject on the DVD reveals she is treated with utmost respect by the director and crew, well aware of how her contribution brings otherwise standard or generic sex scenes to life.

In "Cupid's Arrow" she portrays cupid, with angel's wings cavorting in the forest to shoot Felicia Flint in the thigh, causing the aroused Flint to instantly make love to older man Lars. Lars expounds at great length in the BTS how he got into the business, and it's the most interesting story (he used pretty models and later sexual content to sell fishing calendars and later promote his website, amplifying his day job as a Miami guy who charters fishing expeditions) I've heard in a month of Sundays on these generally mindless "making of" fillers.

For "Voyeur Vision" we have Little Diva as the voyeuse, using her binoculars to watch lovely Keeani Lei make love to Jack Init (or whoever that is, the opening and ending credits sloppily not matching). Scene ends cleverly with Diva's orgasm causing her to fall off the top of her perch on a dresser, leaving the frame in slapstick fashion.

But the little lady's best scene has to be "Very Gothic Christmas" in which Lei and Candi Apple have lesbian sex while trimming their Christmas tree, clad in fetish latex gear. Diva dressed in red as Santa's helper emerges from under the tree to gift them with sex toys, and those are put to good use by the gals while Diva masturbates with an over-sized red dildo (not inserted but rubbed).

"Goddess of the Bog" is the initial offering here, a very dreamy segment that directly reminded me of many turn of this century Adam & Eve features, such as Nicholas Steele's classic "Goddess", not likely just a coincidence. With a flower-made crown in her hair Veronica Raquel is a blonde vision of purity, humping Justin Maxxx in a Florida swamp. It plays better than it sounds.

"Spirit of the '60s" suffers from garbled credits (star Hailey Young is called "Bentley" verbally during the BTS, and both these names appear separately in the end credits, probably by mistake since there aren't enough players on screen to account for all the names listed at the end). A red VW minivan is the period atmosphere, as a guy named either Tony Armanno or Jon Hart (front & end credits don't agree) picks up hitchhiker Hailey/Bentley and humps her outside and in the van in a secluded spot.

Danni, a Floridian, rounds out the program masturbating with the aid of an A & E sex toy.

All told a remarkably well-made piece of eroticism, atypical for its era and well worth checking out.
