Some errors in original summary
This is a well acted ensemble piece that just grows with each season. The four women, Stephanie (not Vero), Claude, Mimi, and Isabelle/Isa, have single plot lines and their lives also intersect with the other women and with their children. The men move in and out of the plot but they too are multidimensional and important to the plot. This series is funny, thought provoking, sensitive, topical, bawdy, very Quebecois, and breaks a lot of stereotypes. The characters, including the children, grow weekly and we are exposed to the thoughts and behaviours of people from babies to elderly women. I cannot say enough about the series and urge people to give it a try.
