A woman who moves into an apartment across the hall from two brilliant but socially awkward physicists shows them how little they know about life outside of the laboratory.
Although Kaley Cuoco's character "Penny" is well-known to be from Nebraska, in performance Cuoco sometimes still displays a linguistic tic common to Californians: she lengthens words ending "-ing" so that they sound like "-een" and dropping the "g" (e.g. pronouncing "starting" as "starteen").
Here we go.
The opening song says the Big Bang happened 14 million years ago, when it is actually 14 BILLION years ago. 14 million wouldn't get us back to even the dinosaur extinction which happened 65 million years ago. The original song is correct but for some reason was changed for the TV show.
One of the final cards to appear in the credit sequence is the vanity card for Chuck Lorre Productions. In keeping with his practice on "Dharma and Greg" and "Two and a Half Men", there is a different message on the card each week, written by Chuck Lorre himself.
