  • Xbox 360's achievement point system is both a blessing and curse. When you become addicted you can find great games that normally you wouldn't have given a chance. On the flip side you also play a lot of fairly awful games, This cheaply made movie cash in being squarely in the latter category. A lackluster storyline, awful static camera (it's fixed, and you can't control it at all), VERY limited replayability, and it being so damn easy all combine in a sea of banality that you'll dislike as much as I. Definitely not worth a buy and barely worth a rent (due to the aforementioned achievement points, which are beating the game on normal, hard, and finding the one secret egg per level). It may not be E.T landfill bad, but it's close. I got 1,000 out of 1,000 easy points from the 'game' but lost a piece of my sanity.

  • I've been playing video games since 1991, so I met several titles - good and bad, too. But there hasn't been such a worst and ugly game like this. Oh, I was wrong: it's not a game. It's a marketing product what's made to promote the Book and the bad movie. And I hate when "brilliant" people try to 'steal' the money of people using a famous product. After it let's see the game itself! I cannot play with it... Why? Because there were so many bugs. For Example Eragon stacked in a bridge, and I could not make him moving. The levels (how dare they make levels in the 21th century???) were linear, the enemies were stupid (stupid? A piece of sh*t has got more intelligence. ), the fighting and 'rpg' system were boring. If someone want to play a little before bed I advise he/she to buy LotR: RotK game. So forget it! It's not a game. If you hit yourself with a scourge it can be much more fun than Eragon 'game'. 1/10

While this game is certainly nothing extremely special compared to a lot of other games, it is a fairly enjoyable movie tie-in adventure game.

It's main problem is that it isn't very challenging. It only took me about four hours to complete it, and I'm not even a "gamer" or anything. The most I've ever played is Battle of Middle-Earth on the computer.

The other problem it has is that you can't control the camera. This means that when you need to see something from a different angle so you don't fall off or something, you can't. You get used to it after a while, and most of the time the camera angle isn't too bad, but it does get frustrating sometimes.

The story of the game is a bit confusing. I've read the book and everything, so it wasn't confusing to me. But to anyone who hasn't read the book won't know what the actual plot is. They might have a small idea of what things are, but nothing is explained too deeply. Which is weird, considering this is based on a book.

This was enjoyable, however, despite it's flaws. It's fast paced and the levels aren't too hard to beat for anyone who just wants to get introduced to the gaming world. The movie should be a lot better than this, but still, this was a great start to what should be a successful franchise of films and games.

I was in fact, born in 1988 which was, and is, the year of the Dragon. I saw the film in December 2006 and I loved it. I felt a great desire for the game afterwards and when I got it I proved myself a worthy Dragon Rider. The game itself is also brilliant. Excellent sound, outstanding quality and beautiful scenery. If anyone has anything unnecessary to say about the film Eragon or the game, they had better keep it to themselves rather than ruin it for others. In addition for loving the game, the film ends in a way that gives the audience the suspense that there could be a second film. I know what it can take to be in a film like Eragon but I am very interested in these topics. If there is a second film, (I know what the odds are but it's worth a try) I would like to be in it. Dragon riders, remember this: If you don't try you will never succeed. Enjoy the game!
  • excellent, better than the lord of the ring! as story, as budget, i hope next part will have more. it has a friendly dragon, as i always thought about dragons, as the man best friend! :) i loved the movie! I can barley wait for the next part! ............. you will be enchanted by the story, so don't be silly, do not believe lord of the ring is the best! "Eragon" is better, an less scary for your kids, more interesting for you. I remember, all the stories my grandpa used to tell me........... for those who have seen the cartoon with the 3 dragons .. I don't remember the name, and not exactly the content, but anyway have seen it, this movie will be a "always wanted to see", it is like i was expecting this movie for all my life. Do u remember "never ending story" ? mix it with lord of the rings, ad all the stories from your childhood, and there you are! The perfect movie for you! I loved this movie I want to be continued, i saw not so many votes, and not all good! and i was sorry. maybe it is not the best move for all of you, but for some people it is! i can barely wait the next part!
