      Jesse Pinkman was originally slated to be written out by the 9th episode. During the hiatus caused by the writers' strike, creator Vince Gilligan, impressed by Aaron Paul's portrayal of Jesse as well as everybody just liking Paul, decided to reinstate the character and have Jesse's fate be given to another character in the finale of the first season.
    • Goofs
      In the opening credits, letters in the names of the cast and crew are highlighted in green to represent chemical element symbols. However, the "Ch" in Michael Slovis' name was highlighted in several early episodes, even though Ch is not a chemical element symbol. In later episodes, only the "C" (for Carbon) is highlighted.
    • Quotes

      Walter White: Who are you talking to right now? Who is it you think you see? Do you know how much I make a year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn't believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop going into work? A business big enough that it could be listed on the NASDAQ goes belly up. Disappears. It ceases to exist, without me. No, you clearly don't know who you're talking to, so let me clue you in. I am not in danger, Skyler. I AM the danger. A guy opens his door and gets shot, and you think that of me? No!     99.1% pure

    One of the greatest shows ever, the pacing is excellent. The characters are well developed and entertaining. The show ties everything together very neatly. It's honestly a show that get's better each time you view it. It's cathartic to see Walter break bad and how the story unravels is the best way it could have. Very good storytelling, well done to Vince Gilligan.
