Hannah Harper made many great films over a decade ago for the late, lamented label Sin City, and perhaps this is her best one. Filmmaker Jim Powers, one of the most prolific helmers in Adult Cinema history, manages to mix pure gonzo extreme sex with a gripping fantasy story line, among the best mergers of these seemingly incompatible approaches ever attempted.
The full-length XXX version runs twice as long as the edited-down version, which had exposure to a wider audience via the Playboy Channel. I'm reviewing the original, currently out of print and a collector's item.
Powers made the wonderful "Perverted Stories" series a decade earlier, and this feature plays like a full-length, big budget (plus actual script added) extension of one of his brief but memorable gonzo vignettes.
With some nods to Damiano's masterpiece "Devil in Miss Jones", Harper stars (and has sex in all six XXX vignettes) as a seemingly nice lady who we see cheating on her best friend Alicia Angel in the first sex scene. Making matters worse, her friend has told her she's newly pregnant, and when she catches the two post-sex, spunk still dripping from Hannah's chin, she pulls out a gun and kills our heroine.
Harper ends up in Hell, imaginatively realized by Powers, first with a beautiful shot of nude Harper lying in a foggy mist, and then presided over with brilliant special makeup effects by a perfectly-cast Lee Stone, he of the body beautiful physique and lengthy curved dick.
Perhaps the high quality of the fantasy elements in this feature is what sets it apart from so many underachieving attempts to expand an Adult video into mainstream territory. Stone's huge horns and scary looking teeth, plus good body makeup skilfully hiding his tattoos, are wonderful, and when he embraces Harper with a scary hand to talk nastily in her ear there is a convincing chill factor above and beyond the gonzo sex. I haven't seen the cut version, but suspect it might hold up well, even though the wild gonzo content is really what Powers worked hard to create.

Another incident which seals Hannah's road to Hades is when she services father and son, well-acted by Herschel Savage and Harper, with Otto Bauer as the willing kid. This sets up the film's final revelation, almost in "Rashomon" fashion, as the devil presents "alternate facts" (to quote our infamous adviser to our 2017 fearless leader, Kellyanne Conway) replaying the crucial scenes of Alicia shooting and father/son humping, in which Harper is far more culpable and our sympathy for her is turned South.
Two wild orgies, plus of course a Harper/Stone hump session, complete the far-out package, with many talented femmes providing both lesbian (Kelly Wells, Lorelei Lee and Keeani Lei) and hetero-in-Hell (Annette Schwartz, Liv Wylder, and back by popular demand Alicia Angel) support to Harper. But it is Harper's skills, whether deep-throating or d.p.- ing, that make the show a winner.
