WOMEN SEEKING WOMEN lives up to the manifesto issued by the Girlfriends Films label at its inception in 2002 - providing glamorous lesbian sex with authenticity and arousal value. Five or 600 videos later, with over 100 of them sharing this title, the basic template utilized here has been carved in stone.
Two (first and last) of the segments involve gals trying on beautiful, vintage lingerie before getting their Sapphic thing on in bed. Both feature a performer named Nikki, but the box cover sorts this out (sort of) by identifying the first Nikki under her frequently used (and preferable as far as I'm concerned) stage name Kyla.
Opener has Holly Hollywood and Kyla/Nikki Loren dressing to the nines to go to a party, and afterward making love, with a rather noisy vibrator employed, in conjunction with a dildo. There is too much reliance on gynecological tight closeups during sex, a defect later corrected in Girlfriends' more romantic, softer video releases.
Bree Brooks and Kelly Fire actually get their (stage) last names listed in the credits, unusual for the casual label in its early years of first-name basis. They are also done with a party, sitting in the lobby with a beautiful backdrop (indicative of the series' emphasis on romantic settings) of a red plush couch and framed oil paintings behind it. Kelly seduces shy blonde Bree Brooks.
Ending up in the bedroom, the vignette is damaged by a heavy reliance upon sex toys, in this case an unusual strap-on that has two black attachments for double penetrating the wearer, while a long dick is also there for humping one's partner. More recent videos from the Lesbian specialty labels have largely relegated the dildos to clearly labeled fetish videos, but apparently at this formative stage Girlfriends was trotting them out front and center.
Finale has the other Nikki, a beauty named Nikki Steele teamed up with fashion model beauty Nicole Moore in a lingerie exercise. I haven't watched it yet but judging from the coming attractions I believe their segment also appears in the Girlfriends' compilation DVD: DRESSING ROOMS LINGERIE VOLUME 1 AND 2, itself taken from older VHS released material.
Blonde Nicole has an odd accent while Nikki is sexy and sports a deep overall tan. A pink spotlight is turned on the women to stylize the sex scene, and the most memorable aspect here is the sheer beauty of the participants.
Though the pre-opening footage shows classified ads for hook-ups and features voice-overs of women describing themselves, this first volume of WOMEN SEEKING WOMEN does not involve answering ads or arranging assignations, niceties left for future segments.
