They did it. This episode is what hooked me on the show. Amazing episode.

Matthenry1299 September 2023I was told by a friend to watch this show for years and never gave it a chance, earlier this year I began my One Piece journey and was really digging it, some great episodes like Zoro and Sanjis backstories and the Don Krieg fight to name a few but Namis backstory... truly heartbreaking... this was such an emotional episode, this was the episode that made me realize what an incredible leader Luffy is, despite him being goofy 90% of the time, when it comes down to the safety and well being of his crew you do not mess with him...I gained massive respect for Luffy after this episode and began to truly love this show!

and_mikkelsen28 March 2024This episode felt like the one that truely captured why this show is so great and loved, and why the characters are the kind that stick with you and leaves you emotionally overwhelmed!
After the backstory on Nami and the Arlong pirates, this episode made me look at everything differently, and really feel sorry for Nami, as well as seeing Arlong as a great detastable villain!
This was an emotional experience that gave me chills and the scenes with Luffy in the end was my favorite in the show so far! That was where I felt like i saw the show everyone was talking about, and I saw Luffy as a great main character!
Now I am sure.. I will finish this show!
