Today’s film is the 2006 short Tempbot. The film, which stars Lynda Carter and Kirsten Robek, is written by Mark Fitzloff and directed by Neill Blomkamp. Blomkamp rose to prominence in 2009 with the Peter Jackson-produced District 9, which ended up being a surprise hit of the summer. His newest feature, Elysium, which he also wrote, opens in wide release in American theatres this weekend.

With the recent release of the first trailer for District 9 [2], arguments over the talent and skill of director Neill Blomkamp have resurfaced across the blogosphere.
