A Canadian pilot, Pete Pumps, falls to his death as his plane crashes. He was forced to inhabit the body of Tazusa Sakurano, a Japanese Olympic figure skating candidate as he has to wait for 100 days before he could go to heaven.

This is a perfect setup for a rom--com series and yes, we get exactly that. We see enough funny and magical stuffs. Funny things like Tazusa torturing Pete by eating tomatoes, something that he doesn't like at all and Pete teaching her some funny English slangs. It was also funny how Tazusa finds it frustrating for having to stuck with Pete all the time. She is always conscious, especially while changing. They eventually developed feelings for each other as Pete helps her in her exams and other tasks. Tazusa's performance in the last episode was brilliantly shown as in one scene, we see her skate dancing and in the next scene we see an airplane flying. The anime ends perfectly. Despite the plot, the ending was very satisfying and it also looked very practical.

I enjoyed this anime for sure even though I wasn't really overwhelmed by it. I believe it's a perfect anime for those who are into rom-com stuffs.

I found this underrated gem through a recommendation on Yuri on Ice's Animelist page and was on my watchlist for a long time. I gotta say, even though the art wasn't great, the visuals with Sakurano ice skating was pretty neat. I am aware that this anime was aired around 2005 so of course the art wouldn't be as perfect as it was in Yuri on Ice. Anyways I thought this anime was charming. It was adorable to see in the end with Sakurano and Pete skating together as well as sharing a kiss. It was too bad that he had to disappear after the 100 days he spent with Sakurano and she didn't get the courage to admit her love to him. Damn it kinda breaks your heart man like the kid died pretty young and the fact we don't know what happened to Sakurano. I'm just hoping she had a happy story with someone else!

Very well done skating love story as well as it being sad. However it was kinda motivating in a way like the character Pete was always positive and having David Lee McKinney who did a great performance in voicing him on the English Dub.

If you like Yuri on Ice and want to see classic anime for a change, this anime should definitely be part of your Watchlist!
