| This series is just the best thing that happened to Sci-fi.
This series is just the best thing that happened to Sci-fi / TV acting / entertainment. Every thing in Battlestar Galactica/ WONDERFUL / CREATIVE This particular movie will get u (if u want to) to the events that occurred with battlestar Pegasus before finding galactica in SEason 2 episode "Pegasus". If u want to get yourself into battlestar galactica universe u need to watch this to understand what made admiral Caine the person she is in "Pegasus" episode when they find Galactica and the colonial fleet! Just watch the series and ignore the few people who don't like it because they don't have intelligence and feeling to understand it....

Did You Know?

The colonial viper pilot costumes were designed to be "reminiscent" of the uniforms worn on the original Battlestar Galactica (1978). Specifically, the outfit includes a quilted, v-shaped tunic cover, and the helmet has a falcon insignia above the face (although this is small and dark, as opposed to the original large, gold bird on an Egyptian-style helmet).

Kendra Shaw: You're born, you live and you die. There are no due overs, no second chances to make things right if you frak them up the first time, not in this life anyway.

In both versions, but especially in the unedited one, Starbuck's wing tattoo is visible. According to chronology she should not have it until New Caprica - about the time of her marriage.

Alternate Versions

Extended Edition DVD adds and extends scenes:

  • Flashback of Kendra at a transfer station on Caprica, revealing to Frank Bruno that her mother Marla was a Quorum delegate
  • Baltar and Six converse when everyone's looking at the original Cylon raider on the Pegasus' deck elevator
  • Extension of Adama's flashback to the end of the First Cylon War: he'd shot down two raiders during an engagement with a base star, during which the battlestar Columbia is destroyed. He chases two more raiders into a planet's atmosphere, where he shoots down one and rams the other, forcing him to eject. He and one Cylon centurion shoot at each other while they freefall, but Adama pops his parachute and lets the centurion keep going. After landing, he smashes the centurion to nonfunction and takes its gun, which he carries into the hybrid lab. Once there, he has a vision of Cylons vivisecting people in order to create the hybrid
  • Flashback to Helena's childhood on Tauron during the end of the First Cylon War: she and her kid sister Lucy are forced to leave their father during a Cylon attack on their town. Lucy falls and can't get up, while Helena runs into a shipping container, where she finds the jackknife and waves it at a centurion that finds her. The Cylons then leave, but Helena finds only Lucy's doll because they'd abducted her
