This film was inspired by the Manson Family murders.

The original version of this film is believed to be lost.

The film had an extremely limited release and quietly died at the box office, then four years later, it was purchased from Michael Findlay by producer/distributor Allan Shackleton, who hired director Simon Nuchtern to add a fake "snuff" epilogue at the end of it. Shackelton then re-titled the film Snuff (1975), removed all of its credits and promoted it as a real snuff film.

The voice of "Carmela" was dubbed into English for the film by Roberta Findlay and is uncredited.

The voice of "Max Marsh" was dubbed into English for the film by Michael Findlay and is uncredited.
