The New York Times crossword puzzle seen within the first 10 minutes when Dr. Pincus (Ricky Gervais) first comes home is the puzzle from Monday, October 1, 2007 (Created by Will Shortz).
We just get the one life, you know. Just one. You can't live someone else's or think it's more important just because it's more dramatic. What happens matters. Maybe only to us, but it matters.
When Gwen invited Pincus over for dinner, her fiancée Richard is called into work and leaves the apartment. As he is leaving, his reflection is in the photograph behind Gwen. He opens the door, but when he does he just stands still.
Directly after the end titles fade to black, there is a brief outburst of near-hysterical laughter.
