Exclusive: After a spirited auction that brought 20 suitors into play, Working Title partners Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner emerged victorious with a six-against seven-figure deal for People Hacker, a book that tells the story of Jenny Radcliffe. A former burglar, con artist and expert in deception and physical infiltration, she became the secret weapon of corporations trying to close security gaps that led their companies to be hacked and robbed. The security and espionage expert would demonstrate skills on her employers who would find their security codes and contents of safes in her hands.
Radcliffe learned the art of breaking and entering from her family, but her moral code left her to seek a career stopping crooks. Using skills such as an exceptional ability to read people to know if they’re lying, and psychology, stagecraft and charm to gain access to top-grade private and commercial properties, Radcliffe became a successful “people hacker,...

The film collective known as Radio Silence has more than proved they know their way around a recognizable IP, having taken the reins on the "Scream" franchise following the passing of horror maestro Wes Craven. Following their success with Paramount's slasher staple, it was announced that the group would tackle a remake of John Carpenter's genre-bending "Escape from New York" and a series adaptation of the serial killer crime drama, "The Butcher and the Wren." But now, the Radio Silence team of Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, Tyler Gillett, and Chad Villella are taking on the horror holy grail — a Universal Monster movie.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett will direct the currently untitled project with Villella producing. The script was written by Stephen Shields with revisions provided by frequent Radio Silence collaborator, Guy Busick. As of publication, Universal has not provided many details regarding the new project but...

You’d be forgiven for not knowing what’s going on with The Walking Dead at the moment.
Once TV’s most-watched series, AMC’s long-running zombie drama is…still one of TV’s most-watched series but significantly less so than it was at its peak. The show, based on Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s 193-issue comic of the same name, still receives plenty of active fans and bemused weekly onlookers. Here at Den of Geek we’re a bit of both.
We know people are still watching The Walking Dead, now three episodes into its 24-episode final season. And yet, it’s hard to shake the feeling that the average TV viewer’s knowledge of the show ended years ago. (Perhaps not coincidentally right around the time that Glenn died and actor Steven Yeun began his rightful ascent as a movie star).
Consider this feature a public service announcement then.

When AMC released the official synopsis for The Walking Dead’s 11th and final season last week, fans could be forgiven for being a little disappointed.
On an action-heavy show known for shambling hordes of corpses and terrifying villains, the description seemed to fall short of final season expectations. After your characters have confronted cultish freaks who wear the skin of the dead to blend in, concepts like food insecurity don’t seem quite so cinematic.
Now, as part of its “11 Weeks of Reveals Until Season 11” of The Walking Dead, AMC has unveiled titles for the final season’s first eight episodes and some additional descriptions of the two-part season premiere. And you know what? The season premiere gets such a cool episode name that food insecurity suddenly sounds a lot more compelling. First, the episode titles…
1101 – Acheron: Part I
1102 – Acheron: Part II
1103 – Hunted
1104 – Rendition
1105 – Out of the Ashes
1106 – On...

Once Upon a Time in Belgium: Paronnaud Goes into the Woods for Violent Retro-Fairytale
The notion of the wolf in sheep’s clothing busts into blurred territory with Hunted, the latest offering from director Vincent Paronnaud, an effort which attempts to shake-up the familiar woman-in-peril through the lens of fairytale tropes. Revered for his co-directed efforts with Marjane Satrapi, including 2007’s animated Persepolis and their hybrid follow-up Chicken with Plums (2011), the noted French comic book writer and artist makes his first solo effort since 2009’s Villemolle 81 (under his pseudonym Winshluss).
Co-written by Lea Pernollet and rooted in unspecified Euro climes (though it was shot in Belgium), a hodge-podge of Belgian and Irish actors speaking accented English instills a sense of timelessness and disorientation, like a parallel universe where violence against women, of course, continues to be a given.…...
