  • Slow burn start, but the music and character development were fabulous. I didn't really know what to make of this for the first episode and a half, but then as the back stories and supporting roles were brought in and the breadth of the world of the story was developed, it turned into quite a thoughtful consideration of how we treat each other, and how this world places worth on people. The music in particular was captivating. The background instrumental is worth listening to alone, but the songs that were composed for the singers made really interesting use of minor chords and melodies that were evocative. If you can get through the first couple of episodes you too will get hooked.
  • For some reason I thought When The Devil Calls Your Name was a musical, so I put off watching it for quite a long time. I suddenly felt the need to check it out the other day, and boy was I pleasantly surprised. An interesting and very different type of story pulled me in, and the characters and music kept me enthralled to the very end.

I found the start to be a little slow, but around the fourth episode the pacing picked up and the soundtrack really got good.

The music is by far the best part of the show, with songs that I listened to long after finishing the show. But the characters are also very well done, particularly Harib, Gi Kyung, and the Devil. The only character that I was confused at why he was included was Kang Ha, the character with memory loss living with Harib, who seemed to be tacked on and served little to no purpose.

I loved the ending, the way all the story lines were wrapped up was very well done, and the character growth is extremely rewarding to watch. The actors did a superb job, particularly the FL and Harib who was a stand out performance.

I highly recommend this show, it is so different from any other kdrama I have seen, and the music subplot is wonderfully well done, with music and performances that are worth the watch all on their own.

I actually loved this TV-Serie which is very different than other kdramas. I still listen the songs.
  • Warning: Spoilers
The drama plot was so beautiful and smooth The characters were great Every thing was perfect literally Even the cloth to express the characters I loved the deep philosophy of the drama.. Devil God faith and human beings How often we feel we are nothing but in the plbig picture we affect the final painting We are the painting

The only thing I dislikes is the end They didn't bring his love and loka As if both his love and his son will continue there life in another scenario I would preferred if so dong had a TV performance and get recognized and the women who loved him come back to him with their son 💖✨ That's why I gave it 9 If it had that ending I would gave it 10/10.
  • I think I didn't like the aspects about singing in kdrama because it is like a blank space in script when they take about 3 minutes just for the entire singing. The plot was interesting at first but the ridiculous devil concept is not funny nor scary. I don't know what to make out of it. I am also confused whether the lead guy is a guy or gay because of his acting. I also can't get a grasp of the female acting coz it doesn't show much in her facial expressions. My rating is only for Kim Wonhae, Luca and Lee El. The ending was not that much either.
