Just finished watching the last seaon of "Never Have I Ever" on Netflix.
Honestly, I have started it because I wanted to watch something fun, I did not have high hopes, but, this show turned out so much more than that and I am glad that it did, it was a delightful experience. I really connected with Devi and her whole family. It was sweet and funny! I'll miss them. The best teen show I've seen in a while.
It was a lovely journey, gave me good times, and I am very glad that I watched it. The series has a great storyline and humor. Also, the detail of John McEnroe, the 'inner voice' of Devi, was so good.

This is my first review.
I binge-watched the entire series in one go. I can't wait for the next season. The characters are so sweet and relatable. If you like teen comedies/dramas, I highly recomend it. I think it's realy good to have an Indian lead for once. I don't wanna spoil anything, just go and watch!

I'm a brown girl in my late 20s yet this show somehow feels relevant to me. I know exactly her feelings, been there, done that all of it, and I think that what's makes it special. Also, it tackles major issues including suffering the lose of a loving parent as a teen.
Great job!
Never have I ever is a Netflix original series on teenagers! I had been a little prejudiced to expect this as a typical stereotype of an Indian culture, however this seemed to be so good and realistic, if you leave still some stereotype stuff!
Typically American series or movies show a lot of stereotype stuff on Indians which either isn't true or a thing of the past and often turns out to be artificial!
But not Devi and her family in this one!
Watch it, you will love it!
Good combination of characters and very good kind of comedy sense. Overall the series is good and a best one for the lockdown.

- TriviaDuring an April 2020 interview with Terry Gross on the National Public Radio program "Fresh Air," Mindy Kaling said that the element of the series's plot in which Devi develops temporary paralysis in response to her shock and grief over her father's death was a true story from the real life of the brother of the show's co-creator, Lang Fisher. "When we were talking about the series--there are so many teenage series . . . about love and sex and all of that--and we were both really interested, because we had parents that died unexpectedly, in talking about grief and how grief manifests itself. And [Lang's] brother, after her parents got divorced, had about four months when his legs were paralyzed. And then, all of a sudden, they started working again. And they went to every doctor. They went to every psychologist. And it was this mysterious thing. . . . In researching it, this is something that happens to people, particularly young people, sometimes after trauma. So that was hard to resist as something to talk about. And after she spoke to her brother and got permission, we felt we wanted to use it in the series, because we thought it was a really fascinating physical manifestation of a teenager's grief."
