Re-run of old movies

" Jack Daniel " Malayalam movie.

Dileep and Arjun Sarja starrer action thriller movie. Purely illogical, unimaginable scenes woven together to make a time pass movie. Neither Dileep nor Arjun were exploited of their capabilities.

4 on 10 for this 're-run' of old cat-mouse story, of the police-thief game. Thief telling a Robin hood sympathy tale and police finally empathising with the former.

Keep your logics out of the auditorium, if you dare to watch this presentation. My advice will be.... Have two shots of original 'Jack Daniel'.,.. and enjoy. ( If planning for shots..,. Call me)

Eventful...Lacking enthusiasm

The movie showcases a relevant topic that our society needs to address. "JD" is entertaining and eventful. However, does it able to create an adrenaline rush on you ? Not really. Though the movie has many action events and fight sequences, somehow JD misses the kick-ass punch that movies of these genre must have needed to entertain movie lovers.

Time for dieep to retire completely. I could watch only for Arjun. Neither comedy nor action is working for Dileep. At the end, glorifying crime, pseudo-nationalism.... hio, unsahikkable.

Good movie. Won't leave theatre by bore. Lots of comic elements are there. Dileep looks fabulous in this movie. Arjun Rampal awesome. Asokan comedy is awesome and also Saiju Kurup. Not even a single frame lagging. Superb.

This can even find a place in rotten tomatoes for the worst movie ever made. Very weak script trying to glorify an accused actor. You should be asham d of doing this. Story is nothing new, supported by some worst acting by the actors, special mention to Anju Kurian, she must stick on to modelling alone.

Producers are not even pay attention to success of the movie or a good content to success. For example this movie. It's a show that does not make sense at many situations.

Terrible movie, poor story line. Terrible acting from Dileep. Miss the old Dileep movies. Action sequences were decent. I skipped most of the movie to the end

The worst movie in malayalam I have watched in a while. In the 21st century, in 2019 a absolutely garbage of a movie like this is still being paid for, advertised widely and being made is shocking! Like the director could have hired a better story writer, actor and actress(who by the way are of the same age rather than the typical old fashioned malayalam movie style where actor is in his 50's and actress is in her bloody 20's!). With very cringy dialogues, cliche scenarios and the boring fights scenes that make a mockery of the whole Keralian movie industry to this date! In the future I hope the billboards in Kerala promote in a grand fashion a better movie than just a movie like this just because it has the classic old well know 'actors' in them. Give credit to more smaller budget movies such as Android Kunjappan 5.25 or Kumblangi nights or Uyre etc.

Light hearted and amusing watch

I thought Jack & Daniel would be a stupid slapstick film, but to my pleasant surprise it was actually quite entertaining.

The dialogues are rather witty, the scenes not extra over the top and the plot is clever. On the broad lines of but quite different to Special 26.

One should not watch J & D with the expectations that you have from say Kumbalangi Nights because it is not in that league of cinema, nor is this a comedy in the class of Janamaithri.

However, if you want a light hearted slick entertainer with more than just a small dash of humour, the Jack & Daniel certainly ticks the boxes. The acting is fine, the cinematography and the sets too. One does not want to watch serious or extra real films all the time.

The ending leaves room for a Part -2. I wonder if there will be a sequel !

Absolute Entertainer

An absolute entertainer which makes one glued to their seats through out the film. I would count it as one of Dileep's best in 2019 with wonderful action sequence and well thought out story. Arjun Sarja along with Dileep is a treat to all viewers. Anju Kurien does justice to her role acting as Dileep's close friend. Overall one of the best movies in 2019 without a doubt.

More than anything in Jack & Daniel, a typical action crime drama that thrives on cliches it is the sequence involving stunt choreographer Peter Hein and a montage of four of his top works in India that made me sit up and take notice of the director's mysterious ways. TN.

One of the worst movies I have ever seen, if not the worst in 2019. Nothing about it is original, the entire thing is a cliche and the characters are all 2 dimensional. Watch it at the risk of losing brain cells.
