Kids were a big reason Chip and Joanna Gaines decided to end Fixer Upper -- but not because Joanna is pregnant.
"There's so many [rumors], even leading up to it -- I had this skincare line, so I'm leaving. It made it look like I was doing my own thing and Chip didn't even know about it. That was just a big rumor," the mother of four told Et's Kevin Frazier in New York City on Tuesday. "That our marriage is on the rocks...I was pregnant. Its funny when you start hearing this stuff. I was like, 'I guess people can just make stuff up.'"
The Hgtv couple announced last month that they would be ending their show after its upcoming fifth season. "Our plan is to take this time to shore up and strengthen the spots that are weak, rest the places that are tired and give lots of love and attention to both our family...

That's what the Fixer Upper stars' rep tells Et in response to a recent report that "security issues" are what led the couple to decide to end their popular Hgtv home renovation show after its upcoming fifth season.
"Chip and Jo's decision to leave Fixer Upper is truly just based on wanting to catch their breath for a minute; to rest, refresh, and spend even more time with their family and growing businesses," the rep explains. "It is not based on concerns for their family's safety or anything else people might read. They were very open and honest about their reasoning behind this decision when they first shared the announcement."

Joanna and Chip Gaines are going off the air for a while.
The couple announced on Tuesday that they have decided to make season five of their Hgtv show, Fixer Upper, their last. The reality stars' program premiered in 2013, and showed how they used their company, Magnolia Homes, to remodel well over 100 houses and counting, with Joanna as lead designer and Chip executing his wife's vision by managing construction.
"This has been an amazing adventure! We have poured our blood, sweat and tears into this show," reads a blog post on the Gaines' website. "We would be foolish to think we can go and go and fire on all cylinders and never stop to pause."

Genevieve Gorder, beloved for both her innovative design as well as her quirky personality (and habit of working barefoot), became a hero to families across America as she redesigned their homes with TLC's Trading Spaces in the early 2000s. Fans couldn't have been happier when it was announced that Gorder would be returning to the series in 2018 after its 10-year hiatus, but a lot has changed for the designer since she's been on the show.
"[My reaction] was mixed when I first heard the news," Gorder told Et over the phone last week, explaining that Trading Spaces' original run "felt so perfect and compartmentalized in my mind."
"It was the first transformation design show in our country. I was scared that any kind of reinterpretation, if it wasn't completely authentic, could tarnish the guilt on that perfect thing in my memory," she said. "But when I heard that they were going to bring back everyone else, all of us, and...

Attempting to be the bigger man, Jason Biggs is now apologizing for his controversial tweets posted onto his account yesterday (July 17).
After facing plenty of backlash, the “Orange is the New Black” actor deleted his offensive jokes about the Malaysia Airlines tragedy.
It all started when Jason penned a post about the Malaysia Airlines passenger plane that was shot down while flying over the Ukraine. He wrote, "Anyone wanna buy my Malaysian Airlines frequent flier miles?"
Following up with, "In all seriousness, tho - How Do You Mistakenly Shoot Down A Commercial Plane?! It's saddest for the victims and their families, obviously. But Malaysia Airlines is apparently a Great airline. Gonna be tough to recover."
Trying to backtrack, Jason apologized and wrote, "1). Hey all - ok, so - I am deleting my previous tweets," he wrote late Thursday night. "People were offended, and that was not my intent. Sorry to those of you that were.

Tlc's new reality series Sarah Palin's Alaska could just as easily, and maybe more accurately, be called Alaska's Sarah Palin. The show, filmed over the summer at the Palin home in Wasilla, is meant to be a sort of travelog that showcases the majestic state through the eyes and physically active lifestyle of its former governor and her family. But with all due respect and apologies to Mount McKinley, Palin is the most telegenic thing here. Unlike McKinley, she easily fits in the TV frame, and she can also talk, speaking with one of the most distinctive cadences in American politics today.

IGN movies has a fresh clip from Joe Carnahan’s upcoming “The A-Team” big-screen movie. I think this clip pretty much tells you all you need to know about the movie, and it makes what Jessica Biel’s character said about the team so true: these guys really do specializes in the ridiculous. Check it out. Based on the ’80s action-adventure TV show of the same name, the feature film finds Iraq War veterans Col. John ‘Hannibal’ Smith (Liam Neeson), Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck (Bradley Cooper), Capt. ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock (Sharlto Copley) and Sgt. Bosco ‘B.A.’ Baracus (Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson) escaping from military custody after being framed for a crime they did not commit. The former soldiers now work as soldiers for fortune, while the Government, led by Faceman’s former lover Lt. Sosa (Jessica Biel) pursues them. Starring Bradley Cooper, Liam Neeson, Jessica Biel, Sharlto Copley, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson,...

Viewers beware: Oprah Winfrey may be generous, but she's not that generous. Both the FBI and producers of the Oprah Winfrey Show today issued a warning over an email scam targeting fans of the talk queen that teases the chance to win $1 million. The email, a copy of which has been posted online, informs recipients that they have been nominated to take part in a special "Oprah Millionaire Contest Show," in which one lucky audience member will need only answer a handful of current-events questions to take home the jackpot. In exchange, they are asked to share personal information and to send money to a Seattle address to pay for airfare, hotel and show tickets—though even the least astute...

Pretty disappointing news this evening as Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor (Crank, Pathology) have dropped out as the directors of Jonah Hex, the DC Comics property that is expected to headline Josh Brolin as a partly disfigured gunslinger and bounty hunter. Neveldine and Taylor wrote the script, but their exit as directors was attributed to "creative differences." Warner Bros. is moving quickly to set a new director, determined to keep Brolin in the fold for a spring start. Hex, known for having the right side of his face disfigured and wearing a Confederate army uniform, was a rough-and-tumble gunslinger and part-time bounty hunter whose adventures always ended in blood. "Hex" first appeared in the early 1970s in the issues of "All-Star Western" before graduating to his own series in 1977 that ran for about 10 years.

- There are two classes of documentary filmmakers - those who find a topic and then document it and then those who are hit on a personal note. Very much a Diy distribution, Cristina Khuly's Shoot Down (in limited theaters this coming January 25th) tells the tale of thousands of Cuban refugees who attempted in the 90's to cross the Florida Straits by whatever means available – small boats, homemade rafts and inner tubes. Only one in four rafters made it to U.S. shores, with tens of thousands perishing at sea. A volunteer group based in Miami called “Brothers to the Rescue” was formed to patrol the Straits in small civilian aircraft, offering aid to rafters.
