  • If you're looking for an hour of intelligent television or some serious sport drama, this is not the show for you. If you're looking for the hits and ridiculousness of a combination of Wipeout and Ellen's Game of Games you've come to the right place. There's enough serious stuff on tv these days, this was a nice nonsense silly funny over the top break from it all. Thanks for the laughs.
  • Rob Riggle is awesome and it is hilarious watching Tessitore laugh!
  • I've enjoyed the couple episodes I have watched. Golf with a twist. I like it.

My wife and I giggle through the entire show. Joe Tessitore, Rob Riggle, and even Stephen Curry are a hoot.
  • This is certainly not thought provoking or enriching in anyway, but I laughed for the entirety.
  • A ridiculous show that is so funny to watch. Incredibly sarcastic and funny. Don't be dumb and think it's serious or it will just be cringy. Take it for what it is and it will surely entertain you.

    Warning: Spoilers
It is about an out of world golf experience. Combining brain and wit. And how they go through off the wall gold challenges that is an understatement. Said to be in the backyard of EP and NBA great Steph Curry.

And how that they must survive using skill and strength. Rob Riggle draws all the laughs and Joe Tesstorie serves as his straight man.

This is the best show on TV. My husband and I both enjoy it, & laugh out loud every episode. Great characters, competition, drama (just a little), and lots of fun. I'd watch five days a week if it was on!

LeBron James failed with his competition show "Million Dollar Mile" and now another NBA pro, Stephen Curry, takes a shot with this competition that is a hybrid of miniature golf and obstacle course.

I was hoping for something funny. My brother and I have thought for years that it would be fun to play on a quirky mini-golf course, and we talked about strange holes that would be fun to play. But here, you don't see skilled players tackle 18 holes. Instead, you see 12 players compete in head-to-head, single-hole competitions, eliminating each other until only three golfers are left. Those three play one hole for the $25,000. And I have to admit the format has grown on me over three episodes.

The holes are imaginative. There is the obligatory windmill, but made more complex and somewhat dangerous. One hole requires a pitch onto a green. One is shaped like a wave that takes the ball over the golfer's head toward a green that lies past a water hazard. Two hosts provide play-by-play and color commentary that is just an excuse for silly jokes.

The comparisons with "American Ninja Warrior" are obvious, especially since the last hole is called "Mt. Holey Moley".

I wasn't the biggest fan of season 1 of this show, they seemed to be trying REALLY hard to be funny, too hard. But it was light-hearted fun all around, and I do like mini-golf.

I'm not sure what happened in season 2? It's like they took feedback from the audience to be even more "zany", but it has resulted in a show so concerned with making jokes that you barely see any actual play by the contestants. It's bizarre, but I honestly think they spend more time with the hosts yucking it up than they do showing any actual gameplay. They never even have time to show a complete round, it's always just highlights.

If the hosts were truly funny, I suppose that would be fine? But they really aren't. Season 1 was about 80% game, 15% hosts, 5% Stephen Curry, which was okay. Season 2 seems to be on a 30% / 60% / 10% ratio now, which is a big problem.

As a contestant, I would not be happy to find out after the fact you only saw me for 30 seconds on screen, which is about all anyone gets now.

The net result is somewhat boring, as I'm forced to watch unfunny people (who should stick to scripted content) be unfunny, with hardly any actual game show left.

Wasn't quite sure what to make of this the first show...but now wait to watch new episode of Hulu Friday mornings! Rob Rigel is perfect for this....my favorite part is when his other announcer just laughs out loud at Rob.
  • It provides some of the laugh inspiring moments WipeOut did. They need to add /show more of this. Later in the episode they seemed to skip over these. Take away some of the Stephan Curry commentary. Decrease the players monologues, not even American Ninja Warrior lets the great ones go on that long. The adlib Tessitore and Riggle is good. I don't know if even these changes will grant it more than one summer season. But, I watched it to the end when I found it and was disappointed there wasn't a second one.
  • Holey Moley indeed: whoever greenlit this show must've lost a golf bet with Producer/NBA golfer/show star Stephan Curry. This takes the fun of miniature golf, removes that, infuses it with the pacing of watching real PGA golf, lets co-host Rob Riggle try to riff on the spot (no. Just no.), spends lengthy time providing wholly unnecessary backstory on contestants (one of which is an attractive television show office aid-wonder which show she works on and got lassoed in to be a last-minute player? Maybe this one?) avoid showing you interesting attempts of a putt on interesting holes (rather a 5 second highlight will work instead) and dress contestants in lumberjack outfits and punks and unicorn onesies and have professional LPGA golfers attempt to climb a baby oil-slicked hill course in their golf skirts, camera squarely pointed at their bums as they climb and slip back down, legs first. I mean, wow. I've seen In-and-Out drive-thru lines move faster than this show. The dead air is palpable. The holes are as tepid as real ones (only supersized-wow, double windmill you have to dodge the slow blades!), and you find yourself turning it off and heading for the 19th hole bar to drink the fact away you just lost 20 minutes of your life, despite it ran for 54 and you bailed that quick. This is just embarrassing-and that's saying something when you've got the Bachelor shows on this channel-they're outright Emmy winners in comparison to this hackneyed attempt. Wipeout it is not. Golf, it is not. Mini-golf, yes, but only a little. Just change the channel-it's likely going to be cancelled before it's short summer run anyways.
  • This is just a fun summer time show. Yes, they're using the old Wipeout set, but who cares? I love the spin on it, the commentators are absolutely hilarious and truly make the show. The players' outfits are over the top along with a lot of their personalities. Love rooting for the underdog! My only complaint is I wish they'd not show just some recaps of holes, but show the whole thing. 4 episodes in and still haven't seen 1 of the holes fully played.
  • I didn't expect much from this one but was pleasantly surprised. A hilarious interpretation of an obstacle course/game show.

I could care less about that Stephen Curry guy, but Rob Riggle is a riot. Both announcers are absolutely perfect. Watch it!

Absolutely the most fun I've had watching TV in a long time. Riggle and Tessitore are a great commentating team, especially when Joe says something bizarre over a completely straight face, or when Rob reduces him to giggles with a comment from way out of left field.

It's not highbrow, but it was never meant to be. All it wanted to do was combine miniature golf and a bizarre obstacle course, and it succeeded surely beyond ABC's expectations.

Also, it's nice to see the old 70s-style gold blazers back in action.

    Recommended for good, solid fun.
  • .....is really all you need to know, everything else is icing on the cake.

That icing BTW, is entirely silly, and full of completely irrelevant cameos, that just add to the silliness of it all.

It's an almost "pythonesque" game show, and after 1 episode, I love it.
  • The only way to watch this is on a full dose of California happiness. And a couple of beers to boot. Worst show I have tried to watch in a long time. It is exactly the kind of mindless Trash you would expect this time of year.
  • Rob Riggle is a top-notch funnyman and Joe is perfectly timed as the straight man. I would love to wztch these two call and comment on any NFL game. The courses are inventive and contestants quirky, which give them so much ammunition. They make this show a must-see if you want to relax and laugh.
  • Warning: Spoilers
The episode just ended where I am. I understand that it was just the first of 10 (how the hell did it get that much money?), but I sincerely doubt it's gonna get many more views from me.

I have fond memories of watching Wipeout when that was still a thing. They murdered that show and then advertised this monstrosity as a "replacement", or as a "love letter to fans". I'm gonna put it nicely. I would rather watch the most boring, bland, unfunny, obviously rigged episode of that show 100 times more than this boring, bland, unfunny, obviously rigged show.

    • It was so unfunny. The casters have absolutely no charisma, no gusto, just lame golf jokes.

    • I want to see people play mini golf. Instead I saw a 5 second montage. In fact I saw not one, not two, not even three! I counted four 5 second montages. You had plenty of time to actually show the golfing. You instead sold the time to advertisers. I counted at least 10 (10!!!!!) commercial breaks.

    • They hired these people off the streets and put them in costumes. Those definitely aren't their real names. Those definitely aren't their real personalities. It was so rigged I guessed who one solely off the fact that her "backstory" was the most realistic out of all these buffoons.

    • Rigged! I call rigged so hard! There is no way these talented mini golfers missed a nearly point blank shot, not once, not even twice, but THREE TIMES in the final round to give grandpa girl the tie! AND THEN PROCEED TO MISS AGAIN! It was so obvious and unbelievable and it sucked!

I know this is way shorter than my normal reviews but honestly there's nothing to say about this show. It was just a boring waste of my time and life with nothing redeeming about it. Just rewatch Wipeout. Hopefully they cancel this garbage and bring that show back.

Like Ellen's Game of Games, funny and hilarious. Laughed the whole time specially when the 1st contestant got knocked off the course by the windmill not once but twice! Fun to watch & love the commentars.
  • I absolutely love this series. I am going to keep this review brief, but I love the obstacle courses and I love Rob Riggle. I am not a fan of Rob Riggle in films, but I absolutely love his commentating. Not only is his commentating amazing, but the chemistry between himself and Joe Tessitore is also amazing.

I was deeply surprised by how much I was laughing and by how much I enjoyed the obstacle courses. The show is very entertaining and highly enjoyable. I definitely suggest to watch the show!!!

Great show! I'm surprised it's on ABC though, they don't have anything else worth watching all year.

Because it's a great show, they will cancel it, probably in favor of "Trans Dancers" or "Fashion with the Jenners" or some other garbage like that.
  • What a fantastic show and even more amazing golf holes. I would pay 100$ to play a few holes there. The show is beyond hilarious. The announcers are great. Its as if the show was made just around casting Rob Riggle. Truly his best performance ever. also tessitore is really great at being the neutral guy you can bounce the crazy guy off of. The creativity of the holes is genius and deserving of much appreciation. They would be smart during this time to bring celebrities to play this kind of golf and donate the winnings to charity so everyone wins plus it boost their ratings to get actors n athletes. Cant wait. never cancel!
  • I'm giving up halfway... incredibly slow and just plain boring. Thought it might be fun, but NOT Is ABC that desperate????
