Almost skipped a good movie

First couple of second of this movie immediately made me close the movie and open IMDb to rate it. But when others rate it not really bad (6+), i changed my mind and continued.

The editing is still a bit bad, but that's fine. But the fight were terrifying (im not action enthusiast actually). The best part is, on bloopers we can see that the fight literally real. Amazing works!

Not Funny Joe

If this film not comedy, it will be a great movie. Joe and Yayan are the master of martial art. I wonder why joe taslim want to play in this movie.

Decent but could have been better

This one movie is actually pretty decent compared to most other Indonesian movies. The main protagonist has good acting, the story is fun, enganging, have good balance of comedy, romance, drama and fight scene. But it'll have been 8 stars if not for the predictable usage of standard recipe of popular movies (bad guy vs good guy, the good guy got a beating but does not have any long term consequences from the broken arm or bullet shot, too happy ending), cliche of the true bad guy is actually main protagonist's superior all along, and the never ending fight scene. The fight scene is too long, I got bored of that. I also wished they could have explored more Indonesian culture (they keep talking about pempek but it was never shown) Overall though, a fine movie to spend your weekend.
