  • I started watching because the premise intrigued me. I was expecting something much darker, but once I got sucked in by the characters and the storylines I ended up binging the entire show in one night. Honestly, some of it was a bit too Riverdale for me, but I was also pleasantly surprised by a lot of the acting. Ray Nicholson is my new favorite!! The scenes with Ray and Heather were riveting. I enjoyed the twists at the end. Nicely done!

I actually really enjoyed this. It's not to 'young' even though it's aimed for teens. The acting was good. Ray Nicholson was a surprise. Very much like his father jack. Although I don't know how we're supposed to believe he's fresh out of high school.... lol he looks like his real age, not a teenager like the rest of them. Still, I'm really hoping it gets renewed for a second season. I liked it that much. The story was very intriguing and makes you wanna see the next episode. And the last episode implies there's more to know and I want to know!! I like how the challenges are dangerous yet fun. It's clever the way it's done and is entertaining. Nothing new about the love struck teens and the corrupt cop but it's still really good. I wanna know who invented the game and what challenges are coming next. 8/10.
  • I thought everyone who was originally saying "they already made the nerve movie" was going to come on here & eat their words, and be like "oh, i was so wrong-there's so much more to this show than that stupid movie. Yet, here we are and it's still at a ridiculously low rating. I'm 39 years old I'm clearly not the key demographics for the show, and even though I love Emma Roberts, I hated that nerve movie. Anyway I just wanted you guys to know that it's actually really entertaining, The characters are likable and their back stories are believable and the mysteries are flushed out and keep you guessing. It's like scream but without the stabbing. I'm almost finished with it and I thought it definitely defined my expectations. Watch it for yourself, and try not to listen to all the hate.
  • It's far fetched and highly unlikely, but so is 90% of the crap out there. Some of the "kids" are old enough to have high school children of their own, not sure why they have to cast 30 year olds but it didn't stop me from enjoying it. It's fast paced, they don't drag the episodes out too long so that's good. Some things I figured out pretty quickly, just that gut feeling you get after watching a charter for 5 minutes. Other parts kept you guessing and other parts were left completely open ended...just zero answers. All in all it's not a bad series, I wasn't a huge fan of Heather. She just didn't do it for me. She was pretty annoying and seemed to have some weird ticks with her face and arms sometimes. Probably just her overacting. Still didn't stop me from finishing the season. If you're bored and looking for some action, "teen" angst and drama, well you might as well watch this. It won't have a lasting affect but it'll sure help pass a boring rainy day.

Lots of bad reviews here... Ok it's not some masterpiece, but it's a fun watch if you just want to kill some time and don't think to much.
  • Am I ever going to admit to anyone irl that I watched this show? Never. And yet, much like midnight nachos, day drinking, and watching YouTube while pretending to work.... this satisfied my very deep need to rebel in a very small, barely noticeable way. Has my brain atrophied during this viewing of ten hours of vapid TV? Oh yes. But sometimes we need to shut our brains off and reboot. Consider Panic a full system uninstall.

The friends are catty. The plot is like playing sudoku while drunk (I won't spoil it, but there is a tiger involved). The love interests are hot as hell and don't worry - there's a charismatic bad boy. There's enough adrenalin to keep you awake, but not enough to be genuinely disturbing or raise any existential questions. If you think about what comes next, the storyline might be predictable, but... you didn't come here to think.

Make some popcorn, grab your beverage of choice, and settle in. This is cheesy TV at its finest.
  • I liked it enough to watch it in one sitting... it has drama and mystery and I don't regret watching it..
  • Realistic characters, intriguing storylines, twists and turns, and evil lurking where you wouldn't expect it. This is a fun, binge-able show for summer featuring a talented cast with a lot of chemistry. The end definitely left me hanging on for a Season 2!

It's interesting fun to watch, if you're not expecting something "darker" like it looks like by the teasers. It's a catching story, with different mysteries to be explored. The detectives aren't very good at their work, and this is a little annoying in the plot.
  • Really wanted to Ike this. I like the concept of asmall town conspiracy and dangerous game to be the only way out but unfortunately super hacky writing that tries to be deep and mysterious but really just falls flat and predictable. Not to mention the fact the below average "high school" actors are closer to 40 than high school age. Not unwatchable but don't hold your breath on this one.

That scene with the tiger - you know which one - had me on the edge of my seat!

Drives me crazy when people write IMDB reviews having reviewed only the pilot or the first couple episodes. Seems like a lot of the low reviews mentioned that, and I happened to think this show had a rocky start, but really improved and hit its stride by episode 3.

I enjoyed this and through the mystery was fun to work out without being too mentally demanding or complex.
  • As someone else wrote it was fun to watch. Yes some of the actors were a little older looking but look at the decades of that being done in tv shows. Don't take it too seriously and just enjoy the ride.
  • You know right from the start how it's going to end, because it's such a cliché story line.

The continuity errors, such as Ray's tattoo switching from the back of his left shoulder to the right from one moment to the next, show just how little anyone cared about putting this together.

But if you're bored and looking to kill a few hours with something that doesn't require anything from your brain, this is a series for you.
  • I started the series thinking that I was gonna stop watching it after the firt episode and I finished it in 12 hours. Is not the best series, but it keeps you hooked up. Is a good adaptation of a young adult book but nothing else. Is not that bad for all the low reviews is getting, if you want something to see and you are not looking something fancy I would say you give it a chance.
  • I'm glad I ignored the bad reviews and gave this show a chance. It's not perfect or revolutionary, sure, but it's a fun watch! The story and mystery are engaging and it's a fun concept. If you want a fun binge then give it a go!
  • I watched this show over the course of a week and once I finished it I immediately binged it again. I don't understand the bad reviews it's getting. This show had the perfect mix of romance, drama, and thrilling mystery and I definitely would watch again and I would recommend this to everyone. I was never bored and even found a new fictional couple to love. Panic was terrific and everyone should watch it!

Uma série adolescente na Amazon que me surpreendeu... achei que seria boba, chata, mas achei bacana! (Também pode ter sido porque tinha zero expectativas) Recomendo. A teenage series on Amazon that surprised me... I thought it would be silly, boring, but I thought it was cool! (It could also have been because I had zero expectations) Recommend. #serieslover #amazonprimevideo.
  • I liked this show a lot more than I thought I would! It kind of reminds me of a mix between "Pretty Little Liars" and the movie "Nerve"

I don't get a lot of free time to watch tv so I'm picky about what shows I watch. The mystery and twists and turns kept me interested! I thought the actors all played their characters very well, especially since I hadn't heard of any of them before.

    I'm hoping for a season 2!!!
  • It seems weird that half the cast is in their 30's and others are 17ish? So the 30 something guy is acting like he's going to take advantage of the teen girl which was more scary than any of the actual games lol.
  • Warning: Spoilers
I was confused by some events that occurred in this series.

First, the police officers are incompetent at best. Teenagers died from the previous years' Panic game and the police act ho-hum about stopping the game the current year it begins. Honestly, they are shown only when the audience needs clarification/get everyone on the same page. If y'all watch the show, the officers actually do not stop anything (I do not consider the officers crashing the END of the second challenge anything significant since everyone important had already played).

Second, the teenagers have neglectful parents even though they live in a small Texas town. I enjoyed the portrayal of Heather's family life because it added realism to the series but everyone else was just too hedonistic. Speaking of parents, there was a minute trope with the black father and son about their actions having consequences ("being watched") thrown in the show to sound "woke", lol. Despite this show not having any other racial connotations, I am not sure why that segment was necessary.

Finally, no one dies except the crooked sheriff. I was expecting some plot twist with a surprise death or series of events - the plot was too predictable. There were slight buildups in the show, but the climaxes of the buildups were anti-climatic.

Additionally, If anyone can guess who wins the money at the end the game before reading the next paragraph, give yourself a clap on the back.

Heather, the protagonist, wins everything! I bet many of y'all guessed she would win from the moment she entered the game. Anyways, from the ending of the final episode, season 2 will "continue" the game, so let's see what happens if it comes out.

With storylines similar to this one it's pretty obvious who will end up "winning" but I'm glad there wasn't a linear approach to the conclusion. I do hope there is a second season, I don't know if they'll bring back the same characters but it'd be cool to see how things are in their new lives and have them solve the main mystery behind the game.
  • This show entertained us. Nothing ground breaking. Just entertainment. Some things at the end were a little confusing. There's multiple twists and turns. Moderately exciting. All in all we enjoyed it and it's a fun show.
  • A show so stupid that I made an account just to give it 1 star.

    Bad acting, non sense storyline.

    Waste of time.
  • Really well written and enjoyable. Well casted with great characters. Definitely keeps you guess right until the end. Definitely worth a watch or a binge watch for sure.
  • The TV show is interesting, I was really interested in knowing what the challenges would end.
