Some have a problem with the host being too over the top but honestly I think he's kind of underwhelming. Just doesn't bring a lot of charm, and doesn't ask the contestants enough questions for the audience to actually wanna root for an individual...I just finished episode 3 and the question "what would you use the money for?" Is only asked, like, twice. But that's kind of an important question in a show about giving people money. For example: I want to root for the dude that says it's going to his grandma's back surgery, and not the dude that said he's gonna waste it on a thousand lotto tickets.
Also, the episodes where contestants lose everything is very difficult to watch. Especially when they are literally holding a picture of their child and doing it on their behalf. Its a real punch in the gut to watch them walk away with nothing. I'm not saying they need to give participation prizes, but the final few imo deserve something for coming as far as they did. I mean counting coins for 24 hours sounds like hell. Maybe if they lose everything, they gain a chance to spin a wheel (of prizes/varying amounts of money) ? Just an idea. That way after they feel miserable for missing out on a million, the blow gets softened by a lifetime supply of bagel bites (again...just an idea)
Overall, I think it could potentially be an awesome show. The concept alone is what enticed me to watch it anyway. I agree with what some people said about the glass and the ruler challenge, at least give them some protective gloves or something. And to anyone with concerns over the health problems associated with lack of sleep: one all nighter never killed anybody, and nowhere in the show are they encouraging people at home to go without sleep. If anything the show stresses the importance of being well rested, displaying how sloppy one becomes when sleep deprived in every imaginable category.
