On Sydney's bookshelf is a copy of a Stephen King book. Series stars Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff starred in "It" (2017) and "It: Chapter 2" (2019) based on the book by Stephen King. Speaking of Stephen King stories, "I Am Not Okay with This" bares story similarities to "Firestarter" and "Carrie", where a girl has strong paranormal powers that get out of control when she's angry. Also the name of the episode is "Stan By Me" a reference to the movie "Stand By Me" which was based on Stephen King's short story "The Body".

Goofs
At around 8 and a half minutes the teacher's lecture states "if an atom loses one or more of it's electrons it becomes oxidized" of course instead of oxidized he should have said ionized. For a material to 'oxidize' it's atoms have to bind with oxygen atoms.

Great mix!

1) I am kind of fed up with super hero stories. Star Girl, The Boys, Doom Patrol, not to mention ALL the major movies... it's too much.

2) ...but: This one feels very fresh. I love that it's mainly a well written coming of age story. Also, there is a good chance this whole series will switch to the horror genre.

Give it a try!

On a side note: I find it extremely amusing that someone here complains about the superhero "twist", while we are at episode four... it was clear it's going that way since episode one. :-)
