Why did no one shoot Monica?
Great episode, as always. Just wondering why, when the finale leaves the fate of so many great characters in jeopardy, no one shot Monica. I would dearly love for her bland, self-righteous, whiny character to be killed off. This is the best show with such good writing and such great characters, but I am really missing the strong Native American woman that Monica should be. I don't blame the writers. I'm assuming the producers were just blown away by the actress' beauty and apparent anorexia and overlooked her lack of genuine acting ability. She's not noticeably bad, is clearly intelligent, and has some good scenes as a professor, but she gives the character ZERO personality. And instead of the true conscience of Kayce and his family and a defender of her people that she is written to be, she comes off as just a perpetually unhappy person. Someone needs to take Monica to the train station. Perhaps I would care less about the character's lack of authenticity if the actress was actually Native American, which she is not (although apparently she claimed to be until true Native Americans called her out).
