Okay I may be a little late with this one as season 9 of American Horror Story has already started, but as the title says this release from july 2019 is a little teaser trailer for the ninth (already! how time flies...) season of this very successful American television series. It runs for minimally over 4 minutes and judging from what we see here, especially in the first 150 seconds, it could be called American Horror Story: Gym this time instead of Coven, Freak Show or Hotel. The clothes are somewhat funny admittedly and it is clear from the beginning that the action is set several decades back in the past. What surprised me a bit was that really none of all these (apparently very young) cast members looked truly familiar, so maybe not a most star-studded season this time, although I kinda liked the looks of the older (potentially bad) guy towards the end. The song they used was fun too. Still I am not sure it is justified that stuff like this has their own imdb page. I mean if we had a page for each and every trailer for a (blockbuster) movie, it would get really messy here. And aside from that, contents-wise it also did not win me over really. I am no further than American Horror Story Season 5 at this point (Hotel) and what I saw here does definitely not motivate me to skip 3 seasons, even if I probably could because the action is never directly linked. All in all a thumbs-down for this one here. Only worth seeing for the very biggest fans, although admittedly even for them it is kinda pointless now that season 9 has officially started.
