SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated

SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS: Rehydrated (2020) was a fun remake. While it's been years since I've played the original, this game has certainly sat well with me lately and was pretty enjoyable and offered plenty nostalgic vibes to say the least. The updated graphics and character renders were really nice, made the game much more visually appealing. The music and sound effects all sounded very adequately Sponge-bobby. The story and quests were very enjoyable too and full of Sponge-bobby humor that many fans of all ages have grown to know and love.

Overall, this game makes for a great, relaxing break for in between those larger, darker games. It has plenty to keep you busy, lots of areas to explore, missions to do, side missions and collectables. And it's very bubbly and lighthearted. While it's not overly challenging, the difficulty does gradually increase as the game goes on. All around a very fun game.
