Cameron Boyce was going to appear in the movie before his death on July 6, 2019. Boyce would have reunited with his former co-stars Peyton List and Karan Brar from Disney Channel's Jessie (2011) and Descendants, as well as his former co-stars from Grown Ups (2010) and Grown Ups 2 (2013).
