Bond's loyalty to M is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. When MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
Javier Bardem wore a blond wig for the role, after brainstorming ideas with Sam Mendes to come up with a distinctive visual look for the character, which led some commentators to observe a similarity between the character and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
Ronson's down. He needs a medical evac.
M: Where is it? Is it there?
James Bond: Hard drives gone.
M: You sure?
James Bond: It's gone. Give me a minute.
M: They must have it! Get after them!
James Bond: I'm stabilizing Ronson.
M: We don't have the time!
James Bond: I have to stop the bleeding!
M: Leave him!
During one of the beginning scenes, after Bond crashes his bike into a bridge wall and lands on top of a moving train, he almost slips off, but we see in a scene of the train moving away from the bridge that there is a platform which was supporting him as he was climbing back up onto the roof.
The opening credits feature Bond periodically shooting at targets, Shanghai dragons, Silva's skull logo, and the Skyfall mansion from which Bond's eyes stare out. At the end of the credits, the sky is seen falling upon the mansion.
