Bond's loyalty to M is tested when her past comes back to haunt her. When MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.
The seventh cinema movie collaboration of Cinematographer Roger Deakins and Production Designer Dennis Gassner. The two had worked with Director Sam Mendes before on Jarhead (2005). The pair's other collaborations were all on Coen brothers pictures for Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, they being Barton Fink (1991), The Ladykillers (2004), The Hudsucker Proxy (1994), The Man Who Wasn't There (2001), and O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000).
Ronson's down. He needs a medical evac.
M: Where is it? Is it there?
James Bond: Hard drives gone.
M: You sure?
James Bond: It's gone. Give me a minute.
M: They must have it! Get after them!
James Bond: I'm stabilizing Ronson.
M: We don't have the time!
James Bond: I have to stop the bleeding!
M: Leave him!
Mallory puts down a brandy bottle when he first meets M. When she leaves the bottle has been turned.
The opening credits feature Bond periodically shooting at targets, Shanghai dragons, Silva's skull logo, and the Skyfall mansion from which Bond's eyes stare out. At the end of the credits, the sky is seen falling upon the mansion.
