A vast improvement. There's a mission for the sisters (and Harry) and an innocent to save, and a promising story arc building with the reveal that the demon factions are being united under a mysterious leader. The sisters having to think on their feet without being granted special powers is starting to pay dividends, although it seems unlikely it'll last for long.
There are still problems though, such as the way the episode struggles to fit in new characters Katrina and Jordan, and the unconvincing romance between Macy and Harry.
On the plus side, there's some good character work for Mel and Maggie, and the casting off of one holdover aspect from the first season.
